What data is collected

Information you provide us

iBrochure may collect the following personally-identifying information:

  • contact information including name, email address, username and billing address
  • preferences or settings that determine a consistent experience on our service
  • your internet protocol (IP) address (collected when you convert a publication)
  • feedback or requests for support/sales

The amount and type of information that iBrochure gathers depends on the nature of the interaction. For example, we ask visitors who want to convert a PDF into a flipbook to provide a username / email address. Those who engage in transactions with iBrochure – by purchasing a flipbook, for example – are asked to provide additional information, including as necessary the personal and financial information required to process those transactions.

Information we collect automatically

Like most website operators, iBrochure collects non-personally-identifying information of the sort that web browsers and servers typically make available, such as the browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor request. iBrochure’s purpose in collecting non-personally identifying information is to better understand how iBrochure’s visitors use its website.

A cookie is a string of information that a website stores on a visitor’s computer, and that the visitor’s browser provides to the website each time the visitor returns. iBrochure uses cookies to help identify and track visitors, their usage of iBrochure, and their website access preferences. Slides visitors who do not wish to have cookies placed on their computers should set their browsers to refuse cookies, with the drawback that certain features of the iBrochure may not function properly without the aid of cookies.

iBrochure collects statistics about the behavior of visitors to its website and publications. We use the external services of Google Analytics and Clicky Analytics for these purposes. Both services are GDPR compliant.

We primarily use  facebook and twitter to communicate this type of information, so we expect to keep this type of email to a minimum. If you send us a request (for example via a support email or via our chat now feature), we reserve the right to use it in order to help us clarify or respond to your request.
